Emails forwarded to your Microsoft Outlook email program may not display correctly for various reasons; the issue might reside with the email settings of the sender or your own settings within the Outlook program. You can easily adjust a few basic settings in Outlook to tweak the way emails appear.
Show Images
Your Outlook software may be set to block all images by default. This setting helps to prevent advertisement tracking, read receipts or downloading malicious or unwelcome images in some emails. To adjust this feature, either click or tap the banner that says, 'Click here to download pictures.' Any images in the email will display correctly.

View Plain Text Formatting
Outlook utilizes HTML formatting by default, but when a forwarded email is sent from or to you by a client or colleague using Gmail, Yahoo or another email program, the email contents are rarely aligned correctly and may be full of strange code. To set Outlook to display a forwarded email in plain text, open the email and select 'Edit,' 'Edit Message' and 'Format.' Select 'Plain text.'
Send Mail in Plain Text
For easy forwarding to and from email contacts, adjust Outlook to send mail in plain text only. This will prevent the confused garble of formatting symbols within the body of the email. Select the Tools menu, 'Options,' 'Mail Format' and choose Plain Text on the 'Compose in this message format' screen.
